CHEF will be offering a number of programs, including “The Celebrity CHEF Project” where local chefs will excite elementary school children to eat healthier food at school and at home. Then, there is the year-long “Rx for Healthy Seniors: Nutrition” program where Elgin-area seniors will learn about how and why it is so important to eat healthy food, to stay connected with family and friends and to “keep moving” with moderate exercise. And for all of these programs, volunteers are needed to make the programs run smoothly. We also volunteer each summer to help with “HEAL Elgin” a program that offers health and wellness screenings.

All of the CHEF programs are free to the participants, so volunteers are vital. If you don’t see something on the list that you would like to do, let us know how you would like to get involved.

If you would like more information about how you can volunteer, please let us know and we will explain the myriad duties involved in these and other programs we will be offering in the future.

We couldn’t do what we do without our valuable and valued volunteers.
